This view of Castlerigg stone circle in the Lake District was commissioned for the Presences of Nature exhibition at Tullie House in 1981. Godwin was a leading landscape photographer also well known for her portrait photographs of authors. Her landscape photographs taken with great sensitivity to capture the atmosphere of the place.
