New Permanent Art Display Old Tullie House, Carlisle, Cumbria
A re-display of the museum’s nationally important collection of Pre-Raphaelite art, heirs to the movement and related decorative arts. This includes works by Dante Gabriel Rossetti and Arthur Hughes among others. The display also includes Burne-Jones’s stained glass window designs for St. Martin’s Church, Brampton, William Morris textiles and William De Morgan ceramics. In the first floor Panelled Room you can see works by heirs to the Pre-Raphaelites such as Charles Ricketts and John Duncan.
The two new spaces are called the George Howard and Gordon Bottomley Galleries
